About Kenya Votes

Kenya Votes is designed to empower Kenyan voters with important election information¬—information and news on candidates, parties, issues, and polling for the 2007 General Elections. The site was built by NDI in collaboration with the political parties and campaigns listed on the site.

The website includes party manifestos, up-to-date news, candidate lists, candidates’ stances on important issues, party platforms, general voter and election information, and a videos submitted by Kenyan voters and candidates expressing their opinions and vision for Kenya. As the election nears, visitors will be able to view maps of voter precincts, polling areas, and other important information on an interactive election map.

The website itself is non-partisan and unbiased, serving as a platform for the sharing and provision of information, without editing or censorship. Each party and candidate is invited to submit materials to make available to Kenyan voters; the Kenyan voters in turn are invited to be informed about and involved in their electoral process.

This interactive website is fueled by both the candidates and voters, so submit materials, become involved, and use kenyavotes.org as your tool for connecting to the December 27 election.
